\r\nECWA is asking customers to identify their private service line material to improve our overall inventory.
\r\n
\r\nWe ask that you find where your water service line enters your property, usually in the basement, and do a few tests on the pipe to determine its material. Sometimes, it's as easy as looking at the pipe to know what it is made of. For other pipe materials, you may need to scratch it with a key or touch it with a magnet to determine the material.

\r\nOnce you have located your service line and performed the inspection, please enter the information below. Attaching a picture of the water line as it enters your home is also very helpful information. Please provide one picture from a few feet away that includes the meter and one closeup picture of the service coming through the wall or floor. Here is an example:
